Greg has been a Cary resident since 2005 and is active in the community. He is a graduate of the Cary School of Government and member of both the Cary Players and the Concert Singers of Cary. Greg and his wife, Linda, enjoy their family of 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Greg is well acquainted with the joys and challenges of child rearing. He loves working with sharp people and making a difference in the lives of his clients. His professional experience is long and deep and includes roles in engineering management, software consulting, and engineering. Greg is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University with a degree in Administration & Management Science and Mathematics.

Linda grew up in Erie, PA, and met her husband Greg while attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Upon graduation with a B.S. in Business Administration and Management, she moved to Southern New Hampshire to join Greg working for Digital Equipment Corporation. After 25 years in NH they moved to Cary NC in 2005. Linda was blessed in being an at-home Mom for most of her career, and for the past 13 years has been building stronger families in the Triangle area through our Jovie childcare business!

Alyssa Ploeger

Family Placement Manager

My name is Alyssa and I am the Family Placement Manager at Jovie of Cary. A graduate of NC State University (GO PACK!) I earned my bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in science. Prior to joining the Jovie team, I worked as a public elementary school teacher, private infant teacher and as a 1 on 1 habilitation technician for the developmentally disabled. I am the oldest grandbaby on both sides of my family so my childhood was spent helping to raise and take care of my cousins. I knew from a young age that I wanted to find a job where I could work, interact and have an impact on children's lives. I have spent the majority of my professional life working directly with children and I enjoy creating relationships and building stronger families with Jovie!

Alicia Turner Beard

Family Placement Manager

Alicia is a Family Placement Manager at Jovie of Cary, and she started with Jovie of Cary as a nanny in 2010. She has been a part of this local franchise since almost the very beginning. After some time away working at early childcare centers in infant classrooms and in management roles, Alicia is happy to return back to Jovie!

Alicia earned her Birth to Kindergarten Education and Master's of Divinity degrees both from Campbell. She and her husband Adam enjoy being on the competitive BBQ circuit, spending time with their English Bulldog Ryder, and visiting with family in the Western part of North Carolina.

In her free time, Alicia volunteers with the children's ministry and food pantry at her local church, takes walks outdoors with friends, and listens to music.
