Position Overview
Jovie of Edmond is seeking an experienced, mature, and confident newborn nanny for a wonderful family in Edmond! This is a long-term position supporting a growing family with a newborn and older children. The ideal candidate is a seasoned caregiver with extensive infant experience who can independently and lovingly care for a tiny newborn while also managing before- and after-school routines for the older children.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Hours: 40 guaranteed hours per week.
Responsibilities & Duties
Primary Care (Infant)
The nanny’s main focus throughout the day will be caring for the youngest child, an infant born August 7, 2026. Responsibilities include:
General infant care and engaging, age-appropriate interaction.
Bottle preparation and feeding.
Diaper changes and maintaining hygiene.
Following and supporting the infant's daily feeding and sleep routine.
Cleaning bottles and infant-related items.
Keeping infant areas clean, tidy, and organized.
Before & After School Care (Older Children)
Outside of school hours, the nanny will assist with the older children:
Morning Routine: Help get the older children up and ready as needed, assist with breakfast, and take them to school. (School is located right within the neighborhood and drop-off is at 9:00 AM).
Afternoon Routine: Pick up the older children from school at 4:00 PM, help them get settled, and prepare them for any after-school activities so they are ready to go when Mom or Dad get home.
Note: The nanny must be comfortable and capable of juggling all children during the busy before- and after-school transitions.
Household Support & Pets
The family has two dogs in the home. Candidates must be comfortable around dogs and willing to help let them in and out into the yard as needed.
Light household support related to the children and infant care.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: At least 2 years of professional infant/newborn nanny experience.
Traits: Mature, highly safety-conscious, reliable, and deeply confident in independent newborn care.
Certifications: CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain).
Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record for school runs.
Pet Friendly: Comfortable with dogs in the home.
