Responsibilities
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures.
Implement lesson plans and developmental activities aligned with early childhood education standards.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, behaviors, and daily updates.
Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies.
Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure children’s safety and well-being are prioritized at all times.
Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines for infants and toddlers as needed.
Qualifications
Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques.
Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Preference to candidates who have previously been OCHRA trained.
Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
Classroom experience with early childhood education or daycare environments preferred.
Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.
