Job Description:
- After-School Caregiver Needed – 4th Grade Child with Special Needs
Family is seeking an energetic, engaging, and experienced after-school caregiver for their 4th-grade son with ADHD and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance).
Schedule: Approximately 20–25 hours/week, generally between 2:30–7:30 PM, with flexibility based on the school and activity schedule.
The family is looking for someone who can build a genuine connection with our son and keep up with his energy. The ideal caregiver enjoys active play, sports, outdoor activities, and being engaged rather than simply supervising. Experience working with children with ADHD, PDA, or similar needs is strongly preferred.
Their son responds best to a flexible, collaborative approach rather than strict authority or frequent demands. The right caregiver will be patient, adaptable, creative, and able to recognize his needs while maintaining appropriate boundaries and structure.
Qualifications:
* At least 2–3 years of professional childcare experience
* Experience with children with special needs, particularly ADHD/PDA
* Energetic, patient, flexible, and highly engaged
* Comfortable with outdoor and physical activities
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Able to adapt to changing schedules and activities
