Job Description:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (approx. 20 hours/week)
Position Length: 2-year commitment preferred for long-term consistency
The Big Picture
A supportive, structured family in a gated Henderson community is looking for a reliable morning nanny. The role is highly interactive, focusing on keeping an energetic, brilliant 8-year-old boy (Level 2 Autism & ADHD) physically active, helping him stay focused on his homeschool worksheets, and driving his independent 13-year-old sister to local activities. Both parents work from home and provide a fantastic, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
• Burn Off Energy: Take the 8-year-old swimming, bike riding, and climbing in the mornings before the summer heat hits.
• Play & Connect: Join in on his favorite games (hide-and-seek, building forts, and playing Roblox or Among Us).
• Keep Him Tracked: Keep an eye out for his hunger cues, keep his diet strictly free of Red 40, and use the family's established reward system to keep him motivated.
• Be a Chaperone: Give the 13-year-old daughter rides to her singing lessons and activities.
The Ideal Candidate
We need someone with a cool head and thick skin. This sweet kid is a high-energy social butterfly, but when he gets frustrated or dysregulated, he can vent with sharp language. The family does not want a strict disciplinarian—they want a playful, patient partner who doesn't take outbursts personally and knows how to redirect with choices.
Requirements
• Experience: 2+ years of professional childcare experience, including verifiable experience with autism (ASD) and ADHD.
• Safety: Confident swimmer (to monitor pool time) and a clean driving record with a reliable vehicle
• Allergies: Must be comfortable around cats (the family has three).
• Jovie Standards: High school diploma, CPR/First Aid certified, clear background check, and a drug screen. Strict no smoking/no vaping policy. - Payactive
