Schedule: Fridays & Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with potential for optional PRN hours on Thursdays)
Location: Initial care in Independence, MO, with an upcoming transition to a spacious 20-acre property in Rayville, MO
Start Date: Early September 2026
About the Family & Role
A family in the East Metro area is looking for a dedicated, dependable, and nurturing caregiver to support their sweet infant son (born premature, doing wonderfully, and currently hitting his developmental milestones!).
Care takes place during daytime hours while mom—a healthcare worker—rests after overnight shifts. Everything you need is centralized for ease of care, creating a peaceful, structured environment where you can focus entirely on one-on-one engagement, developmental play, and providing a high-trust, safe atmosphere.
This position starts in Independence and will relocate after September to a beautiful 20-acre homestead in Rayville, offering wide-open outdoor spaces, friendly pets, and a quiet setting to grow with the child over the coming years.
Key Responsibilities
• Infant Care & Development: Follow established bottle-feeding schedules (formula), diapering routines, and gentle sleep-training practices.
• Developmental Engagement: Focus on age-appropriate wake-window activities, including tummy time, high-contrast sensory toys, grip strength exercises, reading, and gentle play.
• Child-Related Household Help: Keep the baby care areas organized and tidy, wash and sterilize bottles, prep formulas, handle infant laundry, and wipe down kitchen counters after bottle prep.
• Outdoor Time: Enjoy simple outdoor air on the driveway/yard (no driving or outings required!).
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Experienced & Skilled: You have a solid background in infant care, understand early milestones, and know how to soothe, engage, and nurture a young baby.
• Dependable & Punctual: Reliability is a priority—the family relies on your punctuality so mom can get essential rest.
• Professional & Respectful: You maintain warm, respectful boundaries, thrive in a calm environment, and focus on keeping conversation professional, positive, and child centered.
• Pet & Nature Friendly: Comfortable with an indoor cat now, and friendly dogs on the homestead in Rayville!
