- Jovie of Greater Kansas City is seeking an organized, highly reliable, and proactive nanny to join a warm, professional household in Prairie Village, KS.
This long-term position starts in late September 2026, caring for a sweet infant who will be 3 months old. Both parents are dedicated medical professionals with demanding, vital schedules. They are looking for a true partner to join their team, run a smooth household, and grow with their family for years to come.

📅 The Schedule & Structure
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week (W-2 employment with overtime paid at 1.5x for any hours exceeding 40).
Shift Window: Monday through Friday, starting between 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM and ending around 5:00 PM.
Flexibility: While weeks average 40 hours, the ideal candidate is comfortable with occasional busier weeks requiring 45 to 50 hours due to the variable nature of medical shift schedules.
Guaranteed Travel Pay: The family travels occasionally throughout the year. You will still receive your full weekly guaranteed pay during these weeks, and may be asked to assist with light house-sitting or pet care.
👶 Core Responsibilities
Your primary focus is the safety, development, and care of a sweet baby girl. During her nap times, you will help keep the household running smoothly.
Developmental Care: Implement standard infant routines (tummy time, developmental play, and age-appropriate sleep/wake schedules). The family follows the Taking Care of Babies sleep-training framework.
Bottle & Food Prep: Manage milk and formula bottle feeding (served cold, no warming needed). Assist with introducing solid foods as she grows.
Household Reset: Maintain clean common spaces (kitchen and living room), wash and sanitize baby bottles, and handle the baby’s laundry.
Dinner Prep (Bonus): Assist with light, simple dinner prep (chopping, organizing ingredients) to help the busy parents maximize quality family time in the evenings.
Pet Friendly: Let two sweet, elderly, low-maintenance dogs into the fenced backyard occasionally.

Experience: Ideally 5+ years of dedicated infant care experience. We are looking for someone who loves the baby stage but is equally excited to stay long-term and support the toddler years.
Reliable & Consistent: Because the parents cannot miss work, punctuality and absolute reliability are non-negotiable.
An Organized Self-Starter: Someone who is comfortable managing a daily schedule, making confident day-to-day decisions, and maintaining proactive, clear communication.
Professional Boundaries: A caregiver who values clear communication, is open to feedback, and respects the family's preferred modern parenting guidelines.
Baseline Requirements: High school graduate, clean driving record with a reliable vehicle, strictly non-smoking/non-vaping, and comfortable with a "shoes off" home environment.
🛡️ Health & Safety
Must be up-to-date on Tdap and willing to receive an annual Flu shot (required to protect the infant).
Phone should be kept nearby for parent communication, but personal screen time is limited to baby's nap times.
