Job Description:

Seeking a responsible, caring, and energetic caregiver to assist with after-school/evening care for two children. This position involves picking up 6 year old from school and 2 year old from daycare, ensuring their safe travel home, and managing their evening routine.

Schedule: 1-3 weekday afternoons 5 PM – 10 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Child's Ages: 6 year old & 2 year old

Responsibilities:
- Pick up 6 year old from school in Hoboken by 5:00 PM.
- Walk 0.5 miles to pick up 2 year old from daycare.
- Accompany children home, which is 1.5 blocks from the daycare.
- Prepare and serve a simple dinner for both children.
- Manage the evening routine, including bathing and preparing them for bed.
- Engage with the children in a positive, nurturing manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, tidying up toys and dishes.

Requirements:
- Prior experience caring for young children, especially managing multiple children during transportation.
- Strong communication skills and punctuality.

- Engage - Care for children between ages six weeks and 13 years (based on your experience)
- Play – Have fun with age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities while you’re with the kids
- Safety - Ensure the safety and well-being of children in your care
- Meal Prep – Put together meals and snacks for children during your time with them
- Light Clean-up - Restore the kitchen and play areas after food and fun (with age-appropriate assistance from the kids)
- Variety - Work with and meet many different parents and kids as a sitter
