I am a New Yorker born and raised, and have been working with Jovie - Upper East Side since its inception in 2007. I started as Family Placement Coordinator and was honored to add the role of General Manager to my plate in mid-2008. In July 2011, I became Owner and Managing Director for the territory. I truly enjoy helping NY families and hope to make our office a vital part of the community, in helping to build strong families, as well as training and employing top-notch, qualified nannies. I attended NYC public high schools, including Stuyvesant High School, and during that time developed a love for teaching and tutoring. As a Communications major at The Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania, I continued to delve into education as an SAT prep private tutor and class teacher. Upon graduating, I was hired as an agent at Famous Frames, Inc. I represented artists for advertising agencies and production companies and really learned to work with different people - most often serving as liaison on jobs between the artist and the client, as well as recruiting talent for specific projects. Working with Jovie has married these two worlds - education and recruiting/services. It allows me to put my all into hiring exceptional nannies and tutors (with the help of my partner and On-Call Nanny Manager, Yshaia King!) and helping families to find the best person to fit their childcare and tutoring needs. I had a wonderful childhood growing up in NYC, and am thrilled to re-explore the city and all that it offers for children, with my nieces, Ava and Ariana. I can only hope that the work we do at Jovie - Upper East Side, helps to afford other NYC families this great opportunity. Our team grew up here and have always considered New York City, home. We have special insight into what makes this place so great and are delighted to be able to share that with as many families in the area as possible!

My work with Jovie began in the summer of 2007. Between semesters at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, I was a summer nanny. In the past year I have transitioned from being a nanny, to an administrative role, and finally, to my current position as Owner and On-Call Director for our Upper East Side office. While attending Stuyvesant High School, I worked as an after-school and summer camp counselor. I was also involved in elementary school tutoring programs. In Michigan, while pursuing my undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Spanish Language, I worked as a high school calculus tutor, a substitute teacher, a kindergarten teaching assistant, and an after-school program coordinator for Ann Arbor Public Schools. I am grateful for the experiences that I have gained through the hands-on educational and recreational programs I have been a part of. I believe in using creativity to stimulate children. From cooking clubs, to knitting classes, to coaching basketball- I can say that I've learned just as much from them, as them from me. My background with children enables me to recognize particular qualities in other potential nanny candidates. I look to hire and place nannies who have a genuine interest in working with children. I am from New York City, and have a primary educational and cultural base here. It is very useful when interacting with families, including my own, as I have a seven year-old sister. Through the recruitment of a strong team, I’m happy to use my experiences to further the development and happiness of our many Jovie children and their families.

Office Support Coordinator
A New York transplant, I began working with Jovie in Chicago as an on-call nanny and a math tutor. After moving to NYC and getting my foot back in the door with the Upper East Side office, I happily accepted the Marketing Coordinator position and transitioned from nannying to administrative work. I am excited to apply my knowledge of marketing and communications to something I have been doing since I was a teenager - nannying and tutoring. I am originally from Minnesota where I attended one of the top 3 public schools in the state, Mahtomedi Senior High School. Throughout high school I worked at the district's summer, before-, and after-school daycare program where I honed my skills for working with children and helping them learn and grow. I started my college career at the University of Minnesota where I declared a Mathematics major while also studying business. During this time I gained a real understanding of and fascination for marketing. I spent my free time tutoring children in Minneapolis public schools and developed a love for education. As a junior I transferred to Columbia College in Chicago where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Arts Management. There I continued my education of marketing and communication while continuing to nanny and tutor in my spare time. My title at Jovie provides a perfect blend of my experiences. It allows me to use my education in marketing to enhance a company that builds stronger families by providing children with care suited to their needs. I'm looking forward to growing with the company and contributing what I can to our families!
