Job Description:
- Location: 78247 – Thousand Oaks, TX
We are searching for a patient and kind nanny to support three children ages 13, 5, and 2 in Thousand Oaks. The ideal candidate will provide reliable after-school care, bring warmth and structure to the evening routine, and be comfortable balancing the needs of children at different stages.
Schedule:
Monday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Start Date: ImmediatelyCommitment: OngoingCompensation: $17.00-17.50/hr
Responsibilities:- Pick up children from school using own vehicle (car seat provided for younger children)
- Prepare or serve dinner for the children (sometimes prepped, other times prepared from what is in the home)
- Guide children through bath and bedtime routines
- Administer evening medicine to the 5- and 2-year-old before bed and help soothe them to sleep
- Support potty training for the 2-year-old and bathroom hygiene for the 5-year-old
- Provide light tidying after activities, occasional laundry, and general household organization
- Use a family app (free to download) on your phone to track the children for mom’s visibility
- Offer occasional supervision and assistance to the 13-year-old, who is mostly independent
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required prior to hire
- At least one year of childcare experience (nanny or babysitting experience preferred)
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance
- Ability to administer medication safely and confidently
- Experience with toddlers and potty training
- Two childcare references (ready upon request)
- Ability to pass a background check (provided and required)
