- Afternoon Nanny / Family Assistant for Two Active Boys (Alamo Heights | 1–7 PM, M–F)
We’re a warm, structured family in the Alamo Heights (78209) area seeking a dependable, confident, and engaging afternoon nanny/family assistant to support our two boys and help keep our home running smoothly. We value clear communication, consistency, and a calm presence who can guide the boys through their routines with patience and confidence.
Our sons are energetic, curious, and full of personality. One thrives with sports and outdoor play, while the other loves creativity, conversation, and hands‑on activities. Both enjoy reading, exploring outside, and staying busy. Like most siblings, they sometimes need help navigating emotions and conflict — we’re looking for someone who can support those moments with structure, empathy, and steady leadership.

ASAP — interviewing immediately.
Pay
$17.00–$17.50/hr
Paid weekly through Jovie.
Schedule
Monday–Friday | 1:00 PM–7:00 PM
~30 hours per week
Consistent, long‑term role with stable hours.
What You’ll Do- Pick up the boys from school and provide safe transportation
- Prepare and serve dinner for the boys
- Support homework and after‑school routines
- Plan engaging indoor and outdoor activities
- Reinforce expectations and consistent boundaries
- Help guide sibling conflict calmly and confidently
- Think ahead and prepare for transitions (ex: packing snacks/water for practice, having items ready in the car, anticipating what the boys will need next)
- Light household support, including:
- Child‑related clean‑up
- Tidying kitchen after meals
- Keeping common areas orderly
Must‑Haves- Prior nanny or structured childcare experience
- Confident leading routines and setting consistent boundaries
- Strong communicator who can partner with parents
- Forward‑thinking and proactive — able to anticipate needs and prepare ahead
- Enjoys being active, outdoors, and hands‑on
- Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation
- Able to pass a background check (required by Jovie)
- Able to provide childcare references
- Organized, dependable, and steady
