Job Description:
- Jovie of Edmond is seeking a professional, reliable, and active nanny for a lovely family with a 3-year-old daughter. We are looking for a caregiver who is genuinely energetic and loves to engage in creative play, while maintaining a high level of safety awareness.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys a balance of active outdoor movement and focused indoor activities, helping a toddler navigate their daily routine with a positive attitude.
The Schedule
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (School Pick-up)
Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Full Day Care)
Total Weekly Hours: Approximately 19 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Active Engagement: Lead age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, imaginative play, and nature walks.
Absolute Safety: Maintain constant, vigilant supervision, particularly in the backyard near an unfenced pool.
Routine Management: Assist with consistent potty training, snack/meal preparation (reheating prepared food), and transitions from school.
Pet Care: Provide basic care (fresh water and letting out) for two large, friendly rescue dogs.
General Household Help: Keep the home tidy during your shift, including handling lunchboxes, backpacks, and light sweeping of the common areas.
Hiring Requirements
Experience: 2 years minimum previous professional childcare experience with toddlers/preschoolers is required.
Safety Mindset: Must be CPR and First Aid certified. A strong understanding of water safety protocols is essential.
Vaccinations: For the health and safety of the family, candidates must be up-to-date on all vaccinations
Transportation: Must have a clean driving record and a reliable vehicle for safe school pickups.
Professionalism: Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable following specific household guidelines (such as a no-shoe home).
