Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM.

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly wage (W-2 employee, includes employer-paid taxes and liability insurance).

    The Children

We are looking for a caregiver who can connect with and nurture the unique personalities of all three children:

Middle Child (Age 7, 2nd Grade): An introverted child with ADHD (managed with medication/therapy). Needs a calm presence and time to decompress in their room with quiet activities immediately after school.

Youngest Child (Age 3, Preschool): Needs constant, direct attention. Must be picked up promptly at 2:30 PM from their school. Currently in pull-ups; occasional assistance with changes required.

    Primary Responsibilities & Expectations

This role is centered around reliable care, transportation, and routine enforcement:

    1. Transportation & Routine

Timely Pickups: Execute the split school pick-up schedule, prioritizing the strict 2:30 PM pickup for the youngest child.

Enforce "The Four Things": Immediately enforce the post-school routine upon arrival home: 1) Shoes away, 2) Backpacks away, 3) Wash hands, 4) Change clothes.

    Discipline: Apply a consistent, gentle-but-firm discipline strategy (2-minute time-outs).

    2. Household Support

Pet Care: Must be comfortable with and friendly towards the family’s three small, older dogs. Must ensure dog gates (confining them to the kitchen/living area) are closed at all times. Must be willing to clean up occasional indoor pet accidents immediately.

Light Cleanup: End the shift by 5:30 PM having completed essential clean-up:

Vacuum the kitchen and living room area.

    Load or unload the dishwasher.

Ensure all toys and items used during the shift are picked up.

Snacks: Prepare simple, age-appropriate snacks after school.

A minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience (post-high school).

Reliable vehicle and a clean driving record are mandatory.

Experience and a strong comfort level working with children with ADHD is a major plus.
