Special Needs Nanny

Job Description:

• Competitive pay: $17.50–$18.50 per hour

  As an approved respite provider for children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental or medical needs, we’re expanding our Respite Care Team. Many families are waiting for a caring, patient role model to step in and support their child. Could that be you?
  
  
  Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by:
  Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation
  Working collaboratively with families, co-workers, and healthcare professionals
  Supporting clients in living as independently as possible
  Providing transportation to appointments and activities (with mileage reimbursement)
  
  
  Current Opportunities
  We’re seeking nannies and sitters for a variety of roles with our pre-screened families:
  Weekly placements with consistent families (weekday afternoons/evenings)
  Weekend shifts with consistent families (typically 4-hour shifts; choose one or two per day)
  Occasional care with flexible scheduling—you choose open assignments through our My Jovie App

  
  

  Ideal Candidate: 
  

  Warm, engaging, and ready to connect with children in their home environment

  Comfortable creating fun, enriching moments through play, reading, and creative activities
  Experience with special needs—whether through family, volunteer work, school, or previous jobs—is highly valued
  Able to provide childcare references (paid or unpaid)
  Available for 4-hour shifts between 3pm-7pmon weekdays or 10a-7pm on weekends
  Reliably able to travel to family homes and carry personal auto insurance
