Job Description:
- Location: Kirkwood, MO 63122
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am-3:00pm
Pay: $16.00/hour
Start Date: specific weeks May - August 2026
About the Family:
Sweet Kirkwood Family seeks a patient and active sitter for their teenage son with special needs. Experience with special needs is preferred, but not required. Family will need help several weeks throughout the summer, 9:00am-3:00pm. Shifts will include encouraging the child to do as much for himself as possible, while assuring his safety during the activities he enjoys. Sitter will be asked to transport the child to different venues for activities such as mini-golf, swimming, parks, stores, etc. Sitter should be comfortable participating in said activities which would also include swimming.
About the Role:
Direct Care - Direct supervision of 17 year old with special needs; child is capable, just needs support
Safety - Ensure the safety and well-being of children in your care including transportation and supervision while on outingsMeal Prep - Assisting child with preparation of simple meals.
Light Clean-up - Restore the kitchen and play areas after meals
Depth - Get to know a family and develop a relationship to establish trust
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a valid drivers license with regular access to a vehicle and ability to transport children in said vehicle as needed.
Must consent to a background screening.
