Playful and Creative Nanny

Job Description:

• Jovie of Greater Kansas City is seeking an experienced, part-time nanny for a family in Lee's Summit. We are looking for a long-term commitment, at least through the school year, with the possibility of summer hours. The ideal candidate will be engaging, energetic, and comfortable caring for children with special needs.
  
  Schedule & Responsibilities
  
  The family is looking for a consistent caregiver for the following schedule:
  
  Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  
  Saturdays: 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  
  Your primary responsibilities will include:
  
  Supervising and actively engaging with a four-year-old on weekday mornings, and with a seven-year-old and four-year-old on Saturdays.
  
  Encouraging play, reading, and other fun, age-appropriate activities.
  
  Playing outside in the secure, fenced-in backyard.
  
  Serving pre-prepared meals and snacks.
  
  Helping with cleanup after activities and meals.
  
  Managing conflict between the children in a calm and patient manner.
  
  Candidate Requirements
  
  To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
  
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of professional childcare experience. Experience with special needs children is a plus.
  • Background: Must pass Jovie's thorough Experience: A minimum of two years of professional childcare experience. Experience with special needs children is a plus.
  • Reliability: A willingness to commit to a long-term role, ensuring consistent care for the family.
  • Engagement: The ideal candidate is proactive and engaged with the children, rather than using their phone.
  • background check process, which includes a motor vehicle report and criminal history search. 
  • You must have professional childcare references and be CPR/FA certified
  • You must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
