Part-Time Nanny Position: Engaging Evening Care for 3-Year-Old Boy in North Kansas City

Job Description:

  • Jovie Nannies of Greater Kansas City is delighted to partner with a wonderful family new to the North Kansas City area to find a long-term, part-time Nanny for their three-year-old son. This professional, single-parent household is seeking a joyful, patient, and committed caregiver to support their routine as the parent starts a new role as a Registered Nurse.

    We are looking for a nanny who can be an extension of the family’s warm environment, prioritize safety, and genuinely enjoy playing with a happy, train-loving little boy!

    The Schedule

    Weekly Care: 12 hours guaranteed

    3 evenings per week, 4 hours per day (typically 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM).

    Specific days to be set upon agreement.

    Flexibility: While this is the core schedule, candidates with flexibility for occasional 14-hour weekend shifts (6:00 AM – 8:00 PM) are a plus.

    Start Date: ASAP (care needed immediately next week).

    Nanny Responsibilities and Household Requirements

    Daycare Pickup: Use the family's car seat for pickup at the local daycare (a very short drive). Must be comfortable using the school’s checkout system and presenting ID.

    Child Engagement: Be an enthusiastic participant in play—especially playing with his trains on the floor.

    Light Household Duties: Tidy up after playtime and meals.

    Meal Prep: Easy healthy meals, sometimes just PB and cereal!

    Jovie Nannies Minimum Hiring Requirements

    All candidates must meet the following to be considered for placement:

    • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of verifiable childcare experience (preferably with the 3-year-old age group).
    • References: Provide a minimum of three professional references (two childcare and one personal/character).
    • Background: Successfully pass a comprehensive background check (local, state, and federal).
    • Training: Complete our orientation and training program.
    • Certification: Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
    • Transportation: Possess a valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle.
