Job Description:

  • Jovie Nannies of Greater Kansas City is looking for a dedicated, health-conscious nanny to support a wonderful family in Kansas City, KS. This role is perfect for a caregiver who thrives in an infant-focused environment and values a professional, collaborative partnership with parents.

    The Schedule

    Days: Monday through Friday.

    Hours: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM (15 hours per week guaranteed).

    Start Date: ASAP.

    The Role

    You will be caring for a sweet six-month-old boy, focusing on his developmental milestones and daily care. Because the parents work in healthcare, they are looking for a nanny who prioritizes health and safety.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Developmental Engagement: Focus on tummy time, sitting practice, and teaching through play.
    • Routine Support: Soothing and rocking for daytime crib naps and managing a consistent bottle-feeding schedule.
    • Mealtime: Assisting with the introduction of solids via baby-led weaning.
    • Light Household Help: While the baby naps, you’ll help keep the home running by sterilizing bottles, tidying toys, and occasionally assisting with baby laundry.


    The Ideal Candidate

    Health & Safety Conscious: Must be CPR/First Aid certified and willing to receive a yearly flu shot.

    Nurturing & Empathetic: A caregiver who is genuinely enthusiastic about child development and instilling compassion.

    Professional: Reliable, communicative, and comfortable with household security cameras.

    Inclusive: The family values an open-minded nanny who is supportive of diverse lifestyles and backgrounds.

    Minimum Hiring Requirements

    To ensure the highest quality of care, all Jovie nannies must meet the following standards:

    • Experience: At least 2 years of professional childcare experience outside of your own family.
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
    • References: A minimum of 3 (ideally 5) stellar childcare references.
    • Transportation: A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and clean DMV record.
    • Background: Ability to pass a comprehensive background screen.
    • Non-Smoker: We maintain a smoke-free and vape-free environment for our families.
