Infant Care Specialist (Part-Time)

Job Description:

  This role is ideal for a caregiver who brings a "calm in the center of the storm" presence and deeply understands the developmental nuances of the "fourth trimester" and early infancy.
  
  The Opportunity
  
  Schedule: Monday through Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Thursdays occasionally needed, will notify EOB Monday. 
  
  Location: Kansas City (Apartment living).
  
  Commitment: Long-term placement (12+ months preferred).
  
  The Care: Primary focus is on a 3-month-old infant, supporting his daily routine, feedings, and developmental play.
  
  What You’ll Do
  
  Nurturing Support: Provide attentive, "comfort-first" care. This family values high-touch caregiving—answering every cry with a soothing hand or a pacifier rather than "crying it out."
  
  Routine Management: Follow a gentle rhythm of bottle feedings and nap transfers, ensuring the baby feels secure and well-rested.
  
  Developmental Engagement: Lead age-appropriate activities like reading, floor play, and short walks to encourage growth and curiosity.
  
  Light Tidying: Maintain a peaceful environment by keeping the nursery and common play areas organized.
  
  Who You Are
  
  Expert Caregiver: You have a wealth of experience with infants and feel confident in your caregiving instincts.
  
  Professional & Discerning: You are warm and friendly yet maintain professional boundaries. You understand the etiquette of working in a home where a parent works remotely.
  
  Communicative: You are open, non-judgmental, and proactive in communicating the baby’s needs to the parents.
  
  Jovie Minimum Qualifications
  
  At least 2 years of professional childcare experience (infant-specific experience highly preferred).
  
  Up-to-date on CPR and FA certification
  
  Non-smoker/Non-vaper.
  
  Reliable transportation and a clean background check.
  
  Ability to provide professional references who can speak to your reliability and nurturing nature.
