Overview
A warm, professional family is seeking an experienced, full-time Nanny for their curious and energetic 7-year-old son. The family currently lives in a spacious, modern RV on a campground, committed to a holistic and non-traditional lifestyle.
We are looking for a caregiver who is patient, proactive, and has a background in supporting children with behavioral challenges (child is suspected to have ADHD/Autism). This is a one-on-one care role focusing on developmental support, daily routine management, and engaged play.
The Child: Boy (Age 7)
An adventurous "all boy" who is eager to connect. He loves his dog, being outdoors (riding his bike/scooter/dirt bike—safety gear required!), and exploring.
Key Care Requirements:
Behavioral Support: Must be adept at managing occasional tantrums, particularly when told "no" or when exposed to loud noises. Caregivers should use techniques like offering choices instead of direct prohibitions and maintaining a calm, quiet environment.
Health and Diet: Must be comfortable following a strict dietary management plan that focuses on eliminating food dyes (especially red dye).
Toileting & Assistance: The Nanny must be comfortable assisting a 7-year-old who is not yet potty trained (diapers/pull-ups) and currently needs help with dressing/bathing due to a broken arm.
Personality: He is a homebody who loves outdoor adventures and thrives on one-on-one attention.
Daily Responsibilities
Homeschooling: Dedicate 30–45 minutes daily to guided instruction using the pre-planned online curriculum (MIA Academy).
Activity & Play: Encourage and facilitate active outdoor play (using the campground’s facilities), riding bikes, and indoor play.
Routine & Transitions: Provide child with a general outline of the day's plan upon waking to help him manage transitions.
Meal and Snack Prep: Prepare meals and frequent snacks, adhering strictly to the dye-free dietary needs.
Tidiness: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized play and living space.
Qualifications
Proven experience caring for children with ADHD, Autism, or complex behavioral needs is highly preferred.
Must be comfortable with diaper/pull-up changes for a 7-year-old.
Commitment to safety for outdoor activities (e.g., ensuring helmet/pads are worn).
A reliable vehicle and clean driving record, valid driver's license required.
Ability to commit for a minimum of one year.
Application Process: Interested candidates will be introduced to the family's hiring representative to coordinate interviews. - Benefits package for fulltime employees
