Active Play-Based Nanny in the Northland

Job Description:

• Jovie of Greater KC is seeking a high-energy, educational-focused nanny for a placement in the Northland. This role is perfect for a caregiver who loves teaching through play and thrives in an active, 1:1 environment. You will be primary support for a busy, curious almost 2-year-old girl who loves to explore and learn.
  
  While the primary focus is the toddler, the family also has a 4-month-old sister. Mom will be home with the infant, but we are looking for a nanny who is comfortable with infants and happy to lend a hand with the little one as needed.
  
  
  Care is required form 8am-1 pm on Mondays only. For the right person these hours could expand. Right now, 5 hours a week are guaranteed. 
  
  The Day-to-Day
  
  Play-Based Learning: Engagement is key! You’ll be a playmate and teacher, creating activities that stimulate development.
  
  Active Exploration: This busy girl loves to move. You’ll navigate a large home with three playrooms and frequent stairs.
  
  Community Outings: Take the lead on trips to the library, local parks, and outdoor adventures.
  
  Light Household Support: During nap times, help the family stay organized with light pick-up and tidying of play areas.
  
  Safety First: Vigilance is a must in this home, which features premium amenities including an indoor pool.
  
  Hiring Requirements
  
  Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience specifically with infants and toddlers.
  
  Childcare References: Must provide stellar professional references from previous childcare roles.
  
  Certifications: Must hold a current CPR and First Aid certification.
  
  Driving Record: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for safe transport to outings.
  
  Physical Ability: Must be comfortable and able to frequently go up and down stairs throughout a large residence. The ability to lift and carry 35 lbs is also required. 
  
  Safety Conscious: A strong "safety first" mindset is non-negotiable.
  
  Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and professional commitment.
  
  Jovie Standards: Must pass a comprehensive background screen.
