Jovie of Greater Kansas City is thrilled to announce openings for two dedicated Bilingual Caregivers to join a premier Spanish Immersion childcare program in Overland Park, KS. This is a unique opportunity to combine your nurturing spirit with your linguistic skills to help children become naturally bilingual from a young age!
We are looking for long term team members who are excited to create a vibrant, culturally rich environment for children in Johnson County.
The Role: Language, Play, and Growth
Immersion Specialist: Lead daily routines, play, and activities primarily in Spanish, allowing children (ages 0–4) to acquire the language through natural interaction.
Daily Care Leader: Provide a safe, loving environment while fostering social, emotional, and physical development.
Partner in Education: Collaborate with families to track developmental milestones and language acquisition progress.
Flexible Scheduling Options
Maintain a consistent schedule that works for you:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
What We Are Looking For
To maintain our high standards for safety and immersion, candidates must meet the following:
Jovie & Language Requirements:
Fluency: Preferred professional-level fluency in both Spanish and English.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience (with references).
Mobility: Valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
Safety: Current CPR and First Aid certification (or a commitment to get certified immediately).
Kansas State (KDHE) Requirements:
Must be 18+ years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
Background Clearances: Ability to pass KBI and FBI fingerprint background checks.
Health & Safety: Completion of KDHE-mandated training (Safe Sleep, Child Abuse & Neglect) and a cleared Health Assessment/TB test.
