  POSITION OVERVIEW
  
  Jovie of Greater Kansas City is seeking a dynamic, reliable, and "go-with-the-flow" nanny to join a warm and professional household. This role is a unique blend of infant care and school-age engagement, perfect for a caregiver who is as comfortable with bottle-feeding and tummy time as they are with imaginative play and outdoor adventures.
  
  
  This position features a tiered schedule to accommodate the family’s needs through the spring season:
  
  Now – April 15th: 3 days per week (Approx. 25 hours/week)
  
  Monday: 7:45 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
  
  Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 5:30 PM
  
  Friday: 7:45 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
  
  Post-April 15th: 2 days per week (Approx. 17 hours/week)
  
  Note: The family provides a guaranteed minimum of 17 hours per week regardless of the seasonal shift.
  
  
  THE FAMILY
  
  The Kids: A sweet 3-month-old boy and a creative, high-energy 8-year-old girl.
  
  The Vibe: Low-key, professional, and active. They use inclusive language and positive reinforcement.
  
  The Home: A "shoes-off" household with two friendly cats. Parents work outside of the home. 
  
  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  
  

  • Infant Care: Managing feedings (breast milk bottles), nap routines (gentle rocking), and supporting developmental milestones for the infant.
  • Afternoon Engagement: Walking or driving to pick up the 8-year-old from school and facilitating active play—think imaginative play, gymnastics, and playground trips.
  • Active Supervision: Ensuring safety during bike rides (helmets are a must!) and driving children to local parks or activities.
  • Light Household Support: Assisting with children’s laundry, washing bottles, and maintaining a tidy "play zone."

  
  
  JOVIE HIRING REQUIREMENTS
  
  

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional childcare experience (nannying, teaching, or licensed daycare).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Safety: Current CPR and First Aid certification (or commitment to obtain it).
  • Transportation: Reliable, insured vehicle and a clean driving record.
  • Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check and professional reference screening.
