Job Description:
- Location: Overland Park, KS
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (50 Hours/Week)
Position Overview
A professional and energetic family in the Kansas City area is seeking a long-term, dedicated Nanny and Family Assistant to join their household. This is a dynamic role for a caregiver who thrives in a "high-flow" environment, balancing the delicate needs of newborn twins with the active, creative spirit of a preschooler and two school-aged children.
The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized, maintains professional boundaries, and is comfortable working in a home where parents are present (WFH/SAHM). We are looking for a "reasonable professional"—someone who is warm and communicative but understands how to maintain the flow of a busy household without constant direction.
Primary Responsibilities
Specialized Infant Care: Provide high-quality care for two-week-old identical twins, including feeding (nursing/bottle support), soothing, and monitoring digestion/sleep safety.
Preschool Engagement: Act as the primary companion for a sweet, artistic 4-year-old. You will lead structured play, watercolors, crafts, and outdoor time to ensure she remains engaged and supported while the infants are cared for.
School-Age Transition: Assist with the "afternoon transition" when two older children arrive home from school. This includes preparing snacks, encouraging independence with chores, and managing the late-afternoon energy.
Family Assistant Duties: Act as "float coverage" to keep the home running smoothly. This includes hand-washing baby bottles/parts, managing the dishwasher, and guiding the children to tidy up their play areas.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience, with a strong background in newborn/infant care and preschool-aged development.
Safety First: Must be CPR/First Aid certified.
Allergy Awareness: Experience managing strict dietary restrictions (specifically nut allergies) is highly preferred.
Professionalism: Ability to work alongside a stay-at-home parent while maintaining a quiet, focused environment in the home office zones.
Personality: We value a caregiver who is reliable, understanding, and silly with the kids, but who also respects the professional nature of the "employee-employer" relationship.
The Environment
Home Culture: A "no-shoes" household that values artistic expression, independence, and a good sense of humor.
Support: You will have a dedicated management team (Jovie) to support your placement, provide coaching, and handle administrative logistics.
Pets: One very "chill" cat resides in the home.
