Job Description:

Summary:
A bit about us:
We are a down-to-earth, nature-loving family of 4 who values education, communication, and spending time outdoors. I’m a librarian, and my husband is a Math teacher; we usually work outside the home. We are pro-vaccinations and are all fully vaccinated. We appreciate a nanny who is reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently. We are open to your feedback, and want this to be a 2-way street so everyone feels comfortable and happy. Our home includes two, friendly dogs who can get a little barky at times.
Our 4-month-old baby girl will be your primary focus. She’s a chatty one and is drawn to playful people. She really enjoys music! We would love a nanny who will listen to simple songs with her, sing, and read books to her.
Our 7-year-old son, who is a social butterfly, will usually not be your responsibility. He’s at school and then at after-school care. He loves Pokémon, soccer, playing outside, hanging out with friends, and audiobooks!
A bit about you:
You are kind, patient, and experienced with infants, including feeding schedules, age-appropriate play, safety, and gentle sleep training support. You communicate openly, follow instructions well, and feel comfortable sharing observations or suggestions. You love dogs! You are comfortable with barking dogs and putting them in their kennel away from the baby when needed.
Job Duties:
Provide attentive, loving care for an infant, including feeding, naps, hygiene, and developmental support, reading, narrating, support a flexible sleep-training approach, take daily walks and enjoy outdoor time with the baby, prepare baby bottles (thawing breast milk and making formula), making purees and simple children’s meals, clean and sterilize bottles and feeding items, ensure baby safety at all times including around pets and toys, communicate clearly with parents about the day, occasionally assist with school transitions or homework for our son when needed, occasionally care for both children when school is closed, children’s laundry, tidy play areas and assist with light household tasks such as loading/unloading the dishwasher.
Position Highlights:
· W-2 Payroll
· Guaranteed hours (27 hours)
· Accrued Sick Pay
· Great outdoor spaces and walkable playgrounds

Set yourself apart: If you have a background in child development or early childhood education, musical interests (singing, piano, or enjoying music with children, experience offering developmental observations or sleep tips, and/or comfort supporting a flexible infant routine, those would all be bonuses for our family!
