Job Description:
- Family Location:
- 94301
Summary:
A bit about us: We’re a tight-knit, open-minded, and considerate family of 4. I’m a hard-working, single Dad living with my elderly parents who love spoiling their grandson. My parents speak English, Taiwanese, and Mandarin. They need to slow down and be less active regarding childcare. We enjoy going out to eat as a family and being together.
My 3-year-old son is outgoing, high-spirited, and friendly! He’s an active toddler in pre-K (already potty-trained) who enjoys running around, playing soccer, and throwing a ball. He also loves imaginative play and hugs.
A bit about you:
You are playful, energetic, and mature. You are a patient, kind, and creative nanny who loves working with toddlers. You’re the type of nanny who is ready to play with toy cars on the floor, get outside for some fresh air and sunshine, and also be firm when it comes to boundaries and teaching good manners.
You’re a people person and enjoy what you do! You have some flexibility to work earlier in the day when requested (when the child is sent home from school for mild illness) or to work a little later on occasion.
Job Duties: Child-focused duties include preschool/daycare pick-ups, driving to extracurricular activities in the future, meal prep for the child’s dinner and packing lunches, eating dinner with the child, engaging in active play and outdoor time, reading, imaginative play, setting boundaries and redirecting, encouraging positive behaviors, limiting screen time, encouraging toddler to pick up his toys, light tidying from activities and playtime, and bedtime routine. Household tasks include: grocery trips 1-2 times a week, light tidying of the shared child/parent bedroom, cleaning the shared child/parent bathroom (optional), children’s laundry and kitchen clean-up, dishes, and tidying the dining area after bedtime routine.
Position Highlights:
• W-2 Payroll
• Guaranteed Hours (32.5 Hours a Week)
• Healthcare Stipend ($150 a month)
• Accrued Sick Pay
• Long Term Outlook
• Gas Mileage Reimbursement
• Inclusion in Dinner Time
• No Potty Training
• Smoke and Dander-free Home
Qualifications: You have professional childcare experience with toddlers, basic cooking ability, good communication, are comfortable working in an intimate home environment where grandparents are present (no elder care required), open to working when child is mildly-ill and occasionally working earlier when needed, have a valid Driver’s license, a clean driving record, a reliable personal vehicle that you are comfortable driving a child in (family will provide car seat), and are willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Set yourself apart: It would be a bonus (and not required) if you can speak Taiwanese or Mandarin, enjoy cooking and would want to cook some family meals, and/or are okay with additional household tasks/cleaning.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (2-8:30p)
Starts ASAP!
Pay: $35-$38 an hour
