Job Description:
- Looking for a long-term nanny position where you can grow with two lovely, local families and their sweet babies? You’ve found it!
A pair of friends in Glen Ellyn are hoping to find a long-term nanny to help them raise their babies in a loving, nurturing environment full of engagement and positivity. Care will take place in both homes on a weekly rotating schedule, and both homes will be fully equipped for nanny and babies to thrive. Parents are looking for someone who can be a part of their village who has years of experience working in childcare, either as a professional career nanny, teacher, or all-around caregiver. They want to work together as a team of five to provide the best possible care experience for their two children. Please note one of the homes has dogs so nanny must be comfortable with pets.
Sweet baby girl is thirteen weeks old at the time of job posting. She’s a total goofball who loves to interact with people. She’s already developing into her personality and is on track with her development. Adorable baby boy is nine weeks old at the time of job posting and is also on track with his development. He loves to be loved, enjoys being held, and is getting better at being independent. Both babies are breast fed but take bottles, and both families use the Huckleberry app to track all things care related. Nanny will have access to this app.
Schedule
This is a full time nanny share and will average 43.5 hours a week. However, the families are guaranteeing 40 hours. Any work over 40 hours will be paid at time and a half. Specific schedule details:
- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 8am-4:30pm
- Wednesday: 7am-5:30pm
- Friday: 8am-3:30pm
Requirements, per family request
Nanny must:
- Have 5+ years of childcare experience, specifically with infants, and be knowledgeable on child development
- Actively engage through play and imagination while on the job
- Be vaccinated for COVID-19
- Have all vaccinations per Illinois daycare requirements (tDap, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, RSV)
- Be a non-smoker (including vape pens)
- Have First Aid & CPR certification upon hire or be willing to obtain (Jovie provides this as a benefit to employees)
Compensation
- This position is hourly and pays between $18-$26/hr, pre-tax, based on experience
- Additional opportunities for supplemental income are available
