I am a graduate from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Child Psychology. I began my career as the administrator of an early childhood learning center and worked to provide quality child care and education to children. I truly enjoyed being an important part of their lives every day, along with being a mentor and leader to my team of teachers. After many years I decided it was time for a change and went on an adventure with Disney Cruise Line as their Manager of Youth Activities. I led a large team of Youth Counselors from around the world as we provided the Disney experience to kids and traveled the globe. I have been working with Jovie, formerly College Nannies, Sitters and Tutors, since November of 2013. I am passionate about helping families find their optimal childcare or tutoring solution and seeing the great impact it has. I'm often out in the community talking to people about Jovie and spreading the word about this wonderful company. I look forward to doing my part in helping to build stronger families.
Role Model Manager
My name is Jasmine Maki, and I am the Role Model Manager. I am a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead, where I pursued a degree in Mass Communications while nannying for several families. After graduating in 2013, I started my career in journalism but quickly turned my focus toward management. I enjoy building successful teams and coaching individuals to meet and exceed their goals. I've worked in retail management and administrative management.
I have always had a great passion for childcare and have provided various care for many families throughout my career. I am excited about building stronger families in our St. Paul communities through excellent childcare. I look forward to working with individuals who are enthusiastic and passionate about making a positive impact on our young people's lives.
Family Placement Manager
My name is Melanie and I am the Family Placement Manager. I am a graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University with a degree in Theatre Arts. I also have my Early Childhood Education Certificate from Minneapolis Community and Technical College. I taught in the classroom for nearly 8 years before taking on an administrator role of an early learning center. I managed and lead a team of 28 staff and teachers in an effort to provide high-quality, early childhood education, to the South Minneapolis Community. My favorite part about working in the childcare/education field is creating strong relationships with families. I am looking forward to using my talents to help build stronger families in the St.Paul community.
